"Editing photos on the Web" Workshop

I did a "photo editing on the Web" workshop last Friday. It was part of a two-day series of new workshops we did with the teachers of the Winston Salem School District Forsyth County. I also got the opportunity to return to the passion of my past that do not use so much more. Photography is a part of our daily lives and is also used when teachers create content for their websites teacher. During the training that led teachers to 3 based Web sites photo editing. All three sites offer users the ability to edit your images in a variety of ways. Picnik users http://www.picnik.com/  this edition has the list, but several of his abilities as a bonus, in which the user must pay for use. Http://fotoflexer.com/FotoFlexer  provides users with several nice features. However, my favorite of the three is http://pixlr.com/editor/Pixlr this site looks and works like a version of Photoshop somewhere between Photoshop Elements and the full version of the program.

During the workshop teachers edit your images in a variety of ways, including crop, resize, dodging (lighting a specific area of the image), blurred vision (wrinkle on the faces of people to be happy), brightness and contrast levels and the selection of pixels in an image to add to the image of another image. I showed them how to feather selections to make them more pleasing to the eye. He even offered to show them how to add hair on the head of someone less fortunate, but we had a picture of the back of my head, so you have not read any.

Then I took http://bighugelabs.com/  Big Huge Labs to showcase some of the many possible projects that can create with their photographs. We started with the creation of a motivational poster and very little time for other possibilities. I liked that show the teachers of these wonderful resources and hope to do the workshop again someday.
